Yet, behind every single skirt lies a charm and tradition, a completely artisanal process that's difficult to explain. In this article, we want to share with all our readers what lies "behind a Lunatica skirt."

We want to engage with customers who have chosen our brand and those who are approaching it for the first time, taking them behind the scenes, into the artisan workshop where it all begins.

Behind the Lunatica Milano concept lies the passion for fashion of the two partners: Silvia and Alessandro share a love for design and Italian craftsmanship .
This is how the laboratory was born, where, every day for the last eleven years, they have worked, invented, and experimented with new variations of the skirt that has become a symbol of creativity and vitality .

The choice of fabric and print: it all starts here
This is the starting point. Silvia is the creative and fashion-forward mind and personally selects the fabrics for the limited-edition skirts. This is a crucial and delicate step, as the uniqueness of the fabrics and prints is what sets us apart. A Lunatica skirt is colorful, original, and flamboyant, showcasing distinctive patterns and movements. During peak season, the fabrics are chosen almost weekly, ensuring skirts are always unique and original.
Only after choosing the fabric do we move on to the printing: very often, to make the garment truly exclusive and original, we commission the designs from other suppliers in order to create one-of-a-kind garments.
In the laboratory: cutting, overlocking, packaging
We move on to the actual production phase: in our workshop, the garment is cut, sewn, overcast, and assembled. Meticulous attention is paid to the hem : it must be perfect and without puckering... Only in this way, step by step, with dedication and craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail, can the most recognizable garment come to life: the Lunatica skirt.
